This proposal for a house and studio for a Chicago graphic designer is situated along a typical 25' x 125' narrow city lot. The construction is composed of rich, flemish bond masonry on the studio and narrow running bond and CMU to accentuate the linearity of the residence. While the studio features working spaces circumscribed by a staircase, the residence is inverted by employing a staircase circumscribed by living spaces. The corresponding images showcase both final and process work.
