Radical Innovation in Hospitality Competition

In an effort to create a radical hotel concept, this proposal for a Lake Michigan cruise ship offers divers and historians the opportunity to witness firsthand the nearly three-thousand historic shipwrecks the lake has to offer. Guests board the vessel and are supplied with both a submersible living unit and motorized discovery device for use throughout their stay on the ship. Upon arriving at a wreck, the lower portion of the hotel drops to the lake's floor and envelops the wreck. Guests are allowed to dive and explore the wreck on their own, or to relax and take in the history of the site within the permanent, submersible amenities pods. The entire craft is powered by algae bio-reactors and fueled by collecting algae off of these sites, which also purifies the lake water as the ship motors from one location to another.
